Healthy McDonald’s Snack Wraps

The snack wrap is back! And this is a healthier way to make it at home. The only question now is, ranch or honey mustard?

The chicken snack wraps from McDonald's were my favorite but since they discontinued it from their menu, let's make it at home and even better! The crispiest air fryer chicken tenders in a soft tortilla with ranch, lettuce, and cheese. And I’ve made these as a healthier version by making the chicken tenders gluten free, the wraps are almond flour, and I’m using dairy free cheese & ranch.

Snack wraps are so easy to make. I’ll show you how to make your own gluten-free chicken tenders that are honestly so good on their own. The rest of the ingredients are easy because you don’t have to make them! It’s flour or gluten free tortillas, shredded cheese, dry sturdy lettuce, and either ranch or honey mustard. You can add whatever condiments you want, but the ones they used to use were ranch or honey mustard.

Healthy McDonald’s Snack Wraps

makes 4 snack wraps

ingredients:

  • 2 large chicken breast, sliced into strips

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 cup almond milk, plain and unsweetened

  • 4 tortillas (I used almond flour tortillas but you can use any of your favorite gluten free one or flour tortilla)

  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plant-based or regular)

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded romaine lettuce

  • dairy-free or regular ranch

  • honey mustard (I made my own by combining Dijon mustard and honey)

directions:

  1. Soak the chicken tenders in the almond milk as you make the breading mixture.

  2. Combine the almond flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika together.

  3. Dip the chicken tenders into the breading and set aside. Spray them with olive oil spray.

  4. Line or spray your air fryer basket and place the chicken tenders in it, being sure to not overcrowd. Air fry at 400 F for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.

  5. Assemble the snack wraps! Lay down the tortilla, then the lettuce, then the chicken tenders, then cheese, and lastly your condiment of choice (I make one ranch and one honey mustard because I can never choose).

  6. Fold it around the tender and enjoy!
