This pasta dish has a delicious spicy tomato sauce. You can make it as spicy as you want, but this satisfying tomato garlic sauce has a lovely kick to it from the chili flakes. It’s a great vegetarian recipe that is still so hearty. It’s silky and smooth and tastes so fresh.
It’s also so easy because it has minimal ingredients, so it takes no time to make!

Silky pappardelle noodles in a spicy burst cherry tomato sauce and finished off with chili butter!
Ingredients
- 2 clove garlic, minced and split in half
- 1 tbsp butter + 2 tbsp room temperature butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp + 1 tsp hot pepper (macho pepper, chili pepper, or any of your favorite hot red pepper)
- 1 1/2 cup rainbow cherry tomatoes, whole
- 2 cups pappardelle pasta
- 1/4 cup pasta water
- parmesan to serve
Instructions
- Cook the papparadelle according to package directions.
- Mix the 2 tbsp of room temp butter with 1 garlic minced garlic clove and 1 tsp of chili pepper. Let sit.
- On medium low, heat the rest of the butter with the olive oil. Once butter is melted, add in the rest of the garlic and chili pepper. Cook until fragrant.
- Add in whole cherry tomatoes, cover and let cook until they start to burst. Slightly press them down in the pan. The juice will run out and help create the sauce.
- Add in the salty pasta water once the pasta s almost finished cooking.
- Drain the noodles and toss them in the sauce. Then toss in the hot chili garlic butter in the noodles.
- 4. Finish it off with some parm and enjoy!
