Classic Lemon Hummus

My go-to classic hummus recipe that I have in my fridge at all times!

I’m a sucker for an easy healthy snack. Hummus is definitely one of my favorite snacks to make if I need to meal prep something fast and delicious. I would so much rather make my own hummus than get store bought. Not only is it expensive now-a-days, but it’s filled with tons of unnecessary ingredients. I usually always have the ingredients for this hummus on hand. And it literally takes me 5 minutes to make. So simple!

Here what you need to make this Classic Lemon Hummus:

  • chick peas

  • lemon zest

  • lemon juice

  • garlic

  • thyme

  • red pepper flakes

  • salt

  • pepper

  • tahini

  • olive oil

 

Classic Lemon Hummus

ingredients:

  • 1 can chick peas, rinsed

  • 1 tbsp lemon zest

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 tbsp thyme

  • pinch red pepper flakes

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 3-5 minutes until smooth. You can add a tbsp of water to thin it out if you’d like.

  2. Serve or store in the fridge for up to a week.
