(Air) Fried Goat Cheese Balls

These ooey gooey air fried goat cheese balls are the PERFECT fall appetizer. They are sweet from the honey goat cheese, a little spicy from the pepper flakes, and oh so crispy from those panko breadcrumbs. Plus, they are made in the air fryer so that means they’re healthy right?
Is anyone here a Bravo fan? If you are, then you know where I got the idea for this recipe from. In honor of the v Rules new season airing tonight, here is the recipe for SUR (Air)Fried Goat Cheese Balls! They’re oozing with cheesy goodness on the inside and so dang crispy on the outside. Drizzle them with hot honey and serve with a side of Pinot Grigio, obviously. Perfection.
Here are the Ingredients for these Air Fried Goat Cheese Balls:
Seasonings - Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Dried Parsley, Cayenne Pepper, Red Pepper Flakes
Pantry - Flour, Panko Breadcrumbs, Honey
Dairy - Honey Goat Cheese
Protein - Eggs
Herbs - Thyme
(Air) Fried Goat Cheese Balls
Ingredients
- 2 logs of honey goat cheese
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
- 2 tbsp honey
- pinch cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- fresh thyme
Instructions
- Cut each log of goat cheese into 10 equal pieces and roll into balls. Place on a plate in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in 1 bowl add the flour. In another bowl, whisk the egg and water. And in the last bowl, add the panko, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parsley.
- Roll each goat cheese ball through the flour, then egg, then panko. Roll them back through the egg and then panko one more time to double coat them.
- Spray your air fryer basket with olive oil spray and add the balls. Spray the tops of the balls and air fry at 375 for 8 minutes.
- Mix the honey, red pepper flakes & cayenne pepper.
- Serve the Fried Goat Cheese Balls with drizzles of hot honey & fresh thyme!
