Goat Cheese, Olive, & Prosciutto Puffs

The perfect fall appetizer! These pastry puffs are the perfect simple, yet fancy-looking dish for all of your holiday entertaining!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pearls Specialties Pitted Medley Olives
  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 8 oz goat cheese
  • 2 tbsp hot honey + more to drizzle
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F.
  2. Sprinkle a little flour on the puff pastry sheet and roll out any creases. Make sure the puff pastry is still slightly cold to be able to work with. Cut the puff pastry into 15 squares and place on a greased baking sheet. Score the puff pastry squares with a 1/4” border. Don’t cut through the puff pastry when scoring. Use a fork and poke a couple of holes in the center of the pastry.
  3. Mix the goat cheese, hot honey, and olive oil together until smooth. Spread the goat cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Add a torn piece of prosciutto on top of the goat cheese along with 3 olives. Then add a sprig of thyme on top.
  5. Whisk the egg with the water for an egg wash and brush over the sides of each square.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Top with more thyme and hot honey and serve!
