  • 1/4 cup olive oil separated

  • 2-3 roma tomatoes

  1. Slice the French baguette and lay on a baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil over top the slices and bake at 400 F for 6-8 minutes until it’s toasted.

  2. Take the garlic clove and scrape it over top the slices of bread.

  3. Dice the Roma tomatoes up FINE. It is not supposed to be chunky so if you think you’ve chopped it up fine enough, chop it more. It supposed to almost resemble crushed tomatoes or sauce.

  4. Mix the tomatoes in a bowl with the salt, pepper, and a tsp of olive oil.

  5. Spread the tomato mixture over the slices of bread. Then top the slices with either a slice of hard salami or prosciutto, then the cheese, and then the pickled peppers.

  6. Top with basil and serve immediately!
