Marinated Red Onions

this is the kind of recipe to save for later, folks. these are so simple and easy to prepare and they literally can go on anything. I love them in my salads, on sandwiches, on avocado toast, on a burger, on fried eggs, ANYTHING.

Marinated Red Onions

ingredients:

  • 1 red onion, sliced

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp oregano

  • pinch of red pepper flakes

  • 1 garlic clove

directions:

  1. add your sliced red onions to a bowl.

  2. pour in the olive oil and vinegar and mix. it shouldn’t be completely covering the onions. they will shrink once they’re marinated.

  3. season with the salt, pepper, oregano and red pepper flakes. mix again.

  4. add in the garlic clove and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  5. take out the garlic clove before serving.
